What is A Day's Outing?
A Day's Outing is an online guide to find events and destinations for day and weekend trips based on your specific location and interests. Like a friend who always plans the greatest excursions to the newest exhibit or county fair, A Day's Outing is there to bring all the best outings directly to you.
How does it work?
All you do is answer four simple questions.
Where are you starting from?
What type of outing are you looking for?
How far do you want to travel to reach your outing?
When do you want to go?
We take over from there and search among thousands of activities in communities around you to provide the outings that you are interested in.
I did a search but I didn't receive any results?
We are so sorry. It could be that we have not reached your area yet. Take a peek at the landing page and make sure the state you are in is highlighted in red on the map. But, if you are in one of the areas we are covering, you may need to change the way you searched. First, double check that you are entering your starting address in correctly. Use the street and city name or the zip code. Second, try expanding the types of outings you are looking for by selecting a few extra categories. You can also expand the miles around you to increase the number of outings. One last way to search is to enter a keyword into the box, "Already know where you want to go?" in the bottom right hand corner of our homepage.
Are you a nationwide guide?
We will be, but A Day's Outing started with events, activities and destinations in Virginia, Maryland and Washington D.C. We will be rolling out new regions in the coming months. If you have entered your address and received a note that we're not yet in your area - we are really sorry. If you would like us to let you know when we reach your community, just drop us a note.
How much does it cost?
A Day's Outing's online site is free to all users. Subscriptions to Go Floyd, a weekly eGuide that delivers personalized outings to you based on your interests and location, are available for a monthly fee. You can trial Go Floyd for free to see what you think.
Where do all the outings come from?
They come from trusted people across the country, partners, and we look for quality events and destinations out on the web. We take privacy and copyright protection very seriously and do everything possible to respect both. If you have any concerns about an outing, please just contact us.
Submitting an Outing
I have a great outing that I would like A Day's Outing to know about. Can I send you information on an outing?
Yes, we want to know about all the great outings. Please take a moment to check out our Terms and Conditions and the section on submitting User Content.
To submit your outing, send your contact information, along with the name and location of the outing to outings@adaysouting.com. If there are specific details such as dates, times or a description, please include that, as well.
Travel Tips and Travel Tales
I see that you have Travel Tips and Travel Tales on your homepage. Can I submit one to A Day's Outing?

How do I submit a Travel Tip or Travel Tale?
It is as easy as sending us an email.
To submit your Tip or Tale, please send your text along with your first and last name and the city and state in which you live to: tipsandtales@adaysouting.com. Please write Travel Tip or Travel Tale in the subject line.

What is Go Floyd?
Go Floyd is a weekly eGuide from A Day's Outing named after one of our favorite four-legged traveling companions, Floyd. Go Floyd is like having your very own, very enthusiastic friend that searches the web for unique outings and then delivers a personalized listing to you at the beginning of each week Just let us know where you are starting from, the types of outings you are interested in and how far you would like to travel, and Floyd will take it from there. You don't have to remember to come back to A Day's Outing's website week after week. Floyd does it for you.

How do I change my email address for Go Floyd?
Click "Sign In" from the top corner of home page of A Day's Outing. You will be prompted to enter the email address and password you provided when you signed up for the newsletter, Go Floyd. Once you're signed in, enter your new email address. Don't forget to save your changes by clicking the " Change Preferences for Go Floyd Email" button at the bottom of the page.
I forgot my password to my Go Floyd account. How can I get it back?
You can request to change your password by clicking the "Sign In" in the top corner of the home page of A Day's Outing. When you are at the "Login", click the "Recover Your Password" link. You will be prompted to enter the email address you provided when you signed up for the newsletter. Enter your email address, and click the "recover" button. We will send you an email containing your user name and your password. You can use these to access your account.
I've requested to change my password by clicking "Recover Your Password," but I have not received an email containing a link. What's up?
You might have spam filters enabled, which could filter an email from us directly into your spam folder. Check your spam folder for the email titled "Your A Day's Outing Login Information". Or, you may have entered an email address that is not registered in our database. Please check the email address you provided and submit again.
How do I change the types of outings I am being sent in Go Floyd?
Click "Sign In" from the top corner of home page of A Day's Outing. You will be prompted to enter the email address and password you provided when you signed up for Go Floyd. Once you're logged in, you can change your outing choices. Don't forget to save your changes by clicking the " Change Preferences for Go Floyd Email" button at the bottom of the page.
I am moving. How do I change my home address or the starting point address for my weekly Go Floyd eGuide?
Click "Sign In" from the top corner of home page of A Day's Outing. You will be prompted to enter the email address and password you provided when you signed up for your eGuide, Go Floyd. Once you're logged in, you can change your starting address. Don't forget to save your changes by clicking the " Change Preferences for Go Floyd Email" button at the bottom of the page.
How do I stop receiving Go Floyd?
We are so sorry you need to end your subscription to Go Floyd. To stop receiving Go Floyd, click "Sign In" from the home page of A Day's Outing. You will be prompted to enter the email address and password you provided when you signed up for the newsletter. When you've signed in look at the bottom of the page. There you will see a box that you "uncheck to unsubscribe" to Go Floyd. After that simply click "Changes Preferences for Go Floyd and we will stop sending you the weekly list of outings. If you are having problems, please contact us and we'll help in any way that we can.
Will you share my e-mail address or personal information with others?
No, please know that any information you provide to A Day's Outing, including your user name, email and starting address, is confidential. We would not want our personal information given out and we won't give out yours either. For more information, please check out our Privacy Policy.
